The size 24/26 is a nicely sized, all-purpose needle that has a good sized eye to make it easy to thread, but it’s still fine enough that it’s easy to get it through the fabric even where the stitching is quite dense. Tapestry needles, sometimes referred to as Cross Stitch needles, have a large eye and a blunt round point and are especially adapted for the use in needlepoint, petit point, counted cross stitch and plastic canvas work. Finer tapestry needles are commonly used for cross stitch.
The John James Company was formed in 1840 and registered in 1902. The name John James is synonymous with the very best of needle manufacture, quality and reliability. The John James brand of “Finest Quality Needles” continues to be recognised by needle crafters around the globe. Cross stitchers love their top quality tapestry and other varieties of fine needles.
