A Fat Quarter of Aida is the same width, 21 inches, and half that length, or 18”.
Lugana and Linen come on a 55 inch bolt, so a Fat Half is half of that, or 27 inches.

I give extra when I can!
Yes we do! Fat Quarters and Fat Halfs are always serged, and other pieces are serged on request.
Yes, we accept returns. There is a 15% restock fee on returned fabrics. They must be unused, and in the original condition with original packaging undamaged. Buyer has the responsibility of paying for return shipping. If there are any customs or duties to be paid, they are the responsibility of the buyer. If you mark the package “Returned Goods”, there should be none.
So sorry, but we can’t take returns on patterns or floss under any circumstances.
We can order in most fabrics! Just ask!
We have almost all of the fabrics listed here, and are still uploading more that are not yet listed. The inventory amounts change daily, so it is hard to keep up! But generally, if you see it is in stock, it is sitting on our shelves. However, even if not in stock, we can get it usually within a week or so. Items that we have in stock usually ship within a day or two, and items not in stock ship within a week or two. If it is going to be longer, we’ll let you know.
Yes! If you need a really long narrow piece, for example, we will be glad to cut and serge that to size. However, in most cases the full piece must be purchased first. We can cut and serge the balance in sizes that you request. A small fee is charged for more that 2 cuts on a single purchased fabric.
Patterns
Because of copyright issues, no returns can be accepted on patterns. If you are stitching a Magic Hour Exclusive pattern, we can definitely answer any questions you have! For other patterns, we can probably help you out, and point you in the right direction.
Shipping
We make a great effort to charge fair shipping rate, and wherever possible, we ship by Canada Post Lettermail – by far the most affordable method. Lettermail must be under 500 g and be smaller than 10 inches by 13 inches by 2 inches. Most orders can go by Lettermail. However, we also offer tracked package and expedited package options.
Buyers who choose a non-tracked method of shipping are taking the risk of non-delivery. (But we’ve never lost a package yet!) If you want to be sure you know where your package is at all times, then choose a tracked method.
Returns
Yes, we do. Returns must be in original packaging, unopened, and in resellable condition. A 10% restocking fee is charged (15% for fabrics). Shipping costs on returns are the responsibility of the buyer, as are any duties and customs charged. Those charges can be avoided by marking your package “Returned merchandise”.
Hand-Dyed Fabrics
We take pains to make our fabrics as colourfast as possible. (Literally! You should see my hands after a dyeing session!) However, nobody can guarantee colourfastness, and hand-dyed fabrics are not intended to be washed. If your project gets soiled while stitching, wash just the area that is soiled by hand in cool water with just a drop of mild dishwashing liquid like Dawn (blue). Rinse thoroughly in cool water and roll in a towel to squeeze out excess water. Do not twist or wring. Lay flat to dry. Better yet, you may want to consider purchasing a grime guard or hoop cover to help keep your fabric clean while stitching to avoid having to wash it. We have them in stock, so if you don’t see them in the Accessories, we just haven’t got to listing them yet! Still working on that!
It can happen, even with major brands of floss, especially with reds. If you are planning to wash your finished project, then you may want to be prepared with a “Colour Catcher” product. They can be found in the laundry department of major big-box stores, or in fabric stores like Fabricland or Joanns. Follow the directions on the box.
