Noobie Knitters
$140.00
A great class for anyone (age 10+*) who has never knitted before, or who is self-taught. Also a great refresher course if you haven’t knit for a long time!
We teach the basics – casting on, casting off, knitting and purling – and in between we talk about how to read a pattern, how to read a label, fixing mistakes, comparing yarns, and lots of other important things.
By the end of the end of the course, you should be able to knit up small projects, such as a hat, dishcloths, and fingerless gloves, for yourself or to give as gifts. Tons of printed notes and patterns help students retain the information, and make a great start to your own personal knitting manual.
Small classes (no more than six students) mean that each student gets lots of attention, and has the opportunity to ask questions. I am also available between classes if you get stuck!
While we certainly understand if life gets in the way, to get the maximum benefit from the class, it is important to practice yours new skills between classes.
*Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult who stays on the premises. Why not take the class together with your child or teen?
There are four classes of two hours each.
The cost is $100 for registration and $40 for the materials pack (required for each student).
The materials pack includes 3 large balls of yarn, knitting needles sized for that yarn, crochet hook for fixing mistakes, lots of accessories and your first set of notes.
